How About a Claytons Run?
(The run you have when your're not really having a run?
In spite of the restrictions now imposed on us I still like to go for a drive in my cobra... and I know that many of our club members like to go for a drive in company with other cobras.
And there is nothing to suggest that we can't... so this is what I thought we could do:
In lieu of the Memorial Run which was scheduled for this Sunday, Anna and I still intend to go for a drive. At 9:45 on Sunday morning we'll be sitting in the cobra in The Point car park adjacent to the western end of the causeway. At 10:00 am we're going to drive onto Adelaide Terrace up through the CBD into Kings Park out onto Thomas Road and turn right onto the Farmer Freeway and through the Tunnel.
There's a good chance we'll end up driving through Wattle Grove and Lesmurdie up to Carmel, south through Karragullen down to Armadale and then probably back home.
I need to stress that we won't be stopping anywhere or getting out of the car at any point but anybody else that might have the urge to go for a drive is more than welcome to tag along and we'd love to see you in the rear-view mirror. Feel free to head off at any stage, just flash your lights and give us a wave goodbye.
If your'e thinking that this could be something that you'd like to do then feel free to register just to let everyone know who's up for it.
